FUSION helps to take Darren Morgan to the top!

Darren Morgan,  Owner and Driver of Darren Morgan Racing and the 2005 and 2011 Top Fuel Champion of the ANDRA Pro Series Drag Racing Circuit, has a bit of green running through his engine.

Formed in 2007, the team are now entering their fifth season of the ANDRA Pro Series Top Fuel competition. Morgan and his team are more than simply a bunch of racers running a car together for kicks; the preparation of a Top Fuel Dragster requires military-like precision and maintenance. For all of this, the team consists of over 20 key members who all have vital roles to play.

After taking out the 2010 and 2011 ANDRA Pro Series Top Fuel Championship, the team has one mission in mind for 2012: to keep the Top Fuel #1 lettering on their 2000 pound projectile.

FUSION has been a sponsor of Darren and his team since 2008, with the green alien mascot a popular draw to the Morgan Pitt. According to Darren, “The aliens can be spotted all around the track, popular with those young or young at heart.”

Darren’s most recent event was the FUCHS APSA SHOOTOUT which was held at Calder Park Raceway in Melbourne Australia on February 18. With over 20,000 spectators and more than 150 cars in attendance the event was a runaway success and featured demonstration runs from 4 Top Fuel Dragsters, with Darren among them. Darren achieved the fastest track time on the day, 4.25 seconds to cover a quarter mile, making over 400kph.

Following on from the Fuchs Shootout, Morgan and his team will be present at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide, March 1-4, for a busy weekend. They will be performing startups and doing burnouts on the track on Friday and Saturday, as well as operating the team’s Top Fuel Simulator,

When Darren isn’t racing, his Top Fuel Simulator keeps him busy at a range of other car events, like Bathurst 1000 and other V8 Supercar events. The race ready Nitro Dragster has three screens and unique computer software that literally puts people in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that is able to reach speeds of over 500 kph. If the simulator is not enough, the team can even fire up the Dragster and spectators literally get blown away by the rev of the engine.

FUSION equipment also adorns the race trailer and you will hear FUSION subs pumping while the team is busy doing an engine rebuild. You can even spot FUSION marine gear on the team golf cart transporter!

In a further boost to Adelaide fans, the ANDRA Pro Series will return with Top Fuel the key attraction between April 13-15 at Adelaide International Raceway.
