Why can’t I connect my SiriusXM Tuner to my 700 Series?
FUSION has identified an issue with the current SiriusXM connector utilized on the FUSION 700 Series Marine Entertainment systems. The connector on the MS-IP700 or MS-AV700 is not compatible with the SiriusXM Tuner. FUSION has created an interface adapter that will correct this problem. Do not attempt to connect the SiriusXM tuner into your marine stereo without using this new interface adapter as it can cause physical damage and void the warranty of the SiriusXM Tuner - Click Here for more information
What is the correct antenna to use for FM/AM reception with my Fusion Stereo
There are two main types of Antenna supplied for FM/AM reception in a marine environment.
The first is a "Ground Dependant" Antenna. This is designed to be used where the antenna base is in contact with a metal surface such as steel or aluminium that has a surface area of 0.5m² or greater. This is a ground plane and the antenna depends on it for reception signal strength, if fitted on a vessel without this you will get very poor reception.
The second is a "Ground Independant" antenna. This is suitable for non metal vessels and a ground plane is not required.
Ensuring you have the correct type of antenna for your vessel is something that is missed sometimes as it is not well advertised.
VHF splitters are another option but we do not recommend them for metal vessels, as you are relying on the short wire run from the stereo to the splitter and this is generally inside the vessel so reception is limited.
How do I wire my speakers in 2 Ohm configuration for my MS-AM702 Zone Amp. (Parallel Configuration)
To wire 2 x 4 Ohm speakers in Parallel to present a 2 Ohm load to the MS-AM702 Amplifier per channel. Simply follow the below diagram showing the Positive terminals from each speaker connected to each other and the same with the Negative terminals. Then connect the Positive and Negitive wires from the closest speaker to the Stereo.

Will my iPod/iPhone connect to my Fusion product if the battery is flat.
No. it will take a number of minutes for the Apple product to get a minimum level of charge before it can connect and become operational. So please connect and wait for the unit to initialise.
What are the benefits of D Class Amplifiers in my vessel ?
The simple answer to this question is higher output power (more Watts) and reduced current draw (play your music for longer periods). To give you a comparison between Class AB and D class, the normal output of a standard Head Unit ( class AB) is say 40-50 watts Peak per channel. The Fusion 600 Series Head Units (MS-CD/IP/AV600 D Class) have a rating of 70 Watts per channel and due to their efficiency consume less power per Watt of output. In essence you can go louder for longer. The other major benefit is that the D Class amp in the 500 and 600 series is that it's 2 Ohm stable (stereo). What this means is that you can conect 2 x 4 Ohm speakers per channel in parallel wiring configuration. This produces more power but is divided between the 2 speakers. Eg. at 4 Ohms per channel ouput is 26 watts RMS and at 2 Ohms it is 43 watts RMS, so divided by two is 21.5 watts RMS per speaker.
The theoretical efficiency of class AB is about 75% as well with a real efficiency between 50%-70%; the theoretical efficiency of class D is about 100% with a real efficiency of more than 85%.The Fusion D Class Marine Zone amp MS-AM702 is a perfect example of a compact high output solution for the boating enthusiast that loves their music. loud
What is Fusion Multi zone technology ?
FUSION’s Marine Multi-Zone technology allows you to create a truly customised audio solution, purpose built for your vessel.
At FUSION Electronics we understand not all boats are created equal, and more importantly, we understand not all ‘boaties’ are created equal. Revolutionary Marine Zone Technology, enables you to create a customised audio solution, tailored to your vessel.
Creating multiple independent audio ‘Zones’, provides an entertainment solution that everyone on board can enjoy - party with loud music on the fly bridge while the girls relax below with quieter music in the saloon.
Control the audio settings for all Zones through the Marine Stereo, or alternatively customise the audio system by installing a Wired Remote Control in each zone of the vessel.
You may require an additional amplifier to utilize the line out zone dependant on the number of zones you need. Fusions MS-AM702 is designed specifically for a single zone and is a
D class amp so is perfect for Marine vessels .
How do I reset my MS-RA200 ?
Should you need to reset your MS-RA200 due to it becoming non responsive. Simply press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
Will my iPod/iPhone charge while connected to my Fusion Head Unit ?
Yes. All Fusion Head Units that support Apple iPod/iPhone products will charge your Apple product while connected, even if they are not playing once they have initialized connection. This is a handy back up charger should you not have a charger on board.
Why do I get an error message when I dock my iPhone to my Fusion iPod inside product ?
Some iPhone models may intermittently display the message, “This accessory is not made to work with iPhone. Would you like to turn on Airplane Mode to reduce audio interference? You will not be able to make or receive calls.” when initially docked with any Fusion iPhone compatible product . All Fusion iPhone supported products have been tested and certified by Apple, and passed Apple’s stringent “Works With iPhone” Self-Certification Test. All Fusion iPhone compatible products are fully-functional and compatible with Apple’s iPhone product line, despite this message. Please chose “NO”, or simply wait for this message to “time out”.
Does the MS-RA200 support video playback from my iPod/iPhone ?
NO. iPod/iPhone video playback is only supported when the Marine portable media Dock MS-DKIPUSB is connected to the MS-RA200. There is a composite video out RCA connection on the rear of the dock which enables Video playback to a compatible TV or Monitor.
Can I connect my Marine Head Units 12v Constant and 12v switched wires both to the + 12v source ?
Yes you can connect both wires together and directly to the battery if you do not have an ignition switch or another 12volt switched source. Keep in mind that the Head Unit will draw standby current while connected so an isolator switch is a good idea.
Can I have more than one amplified zone with my 600 series Head unit ?
Yes you can but you need a high level to low level adaptor. We recommend the Fusion HL-02. This allows you to connect a pair of speaker output wires from the Head unit to the HL02 input wires, the voltage is then reduced to match the line input level of an amplifier and the RCA connector output can be connected to RCA cables and run to the amplifier.
